Do you want to experience what is like to study in an university environment? Vincennes University currently offers a licensed practical nurse program at the end of which graduates will be awarded a certificate of completion and the opportunity to sit for the NCLEX-PN examination. Students will study for a full year under the guidance of registered nurses and other skilled health care professionals. The program starts in August and it consists of two regular semesters plus a short summer semester. The university does employ a waiting list for those who apply once all the seats in the class are filled.
To avoid being placed on the waiting list you should apply early, preferably one year prior to the start of the practical nurse program. Applicants do not need to have prior experience in health care and are allowed to transfer any general education courses from another college. In order to help you with any financial aid questions and to provide a realistic estimate of the cost of attending the practical nurse program, a special on-line student guide was created on their website. Furthermore, scholarship and loan resources are also provided by Vincennes University to those seeking further financial assistance.
